Paradise Tented Camp is situated high on the hills of the Olifants River valley offering unsurpassable 360 degree views.  It accommodates 12 people, comprising of five two-sleeper tents and an authentic ox-wagon with a double bed.  

Ezulwini Game Lodges comprise of three lodges in the Balule Nature Reserve, bordering the world famous Kruger National Park. 

Billy's Lodge is a luxurious camp situated on the banks of a seasonal river in the middle of the bush. It has four double bungalows with en-suite bathrooms and mini-bar with tea/coffee facilities.  

River Lodge is on the mighty Olifants River (largest in the Lowveld) and has 7 luxury bungalows on par with Billy's Lodge. Both camps have swimming pools and pool bars. 

We have Honeymoon suites, family rooms, phone/fax/satellite TV available.

Ezulwini, the Zulu word for “Place of Paradise” where Africa remains unspoiled. Here, the emphasis is on friendliness and informality. Your personal game ranger will share his experiences of the bush and animals on drives in an open safari vehicle. At dusk he'll take you into the world of nocturnal creatures on a night drive, stopping for sundowners as the sun drops over the Drakensberg Mountains, to be replaced by a blanket of stars. Perhaps you will take one of the more thrilling walks of all, through lion country where you will get closer to natures small creatures, trees and birds than you will ever imagine. Back at the camp, the swimming pool invites you to cool off and your charming African chalet with its thatched roof invites you to take rest through the heat of the African day.    

The Ezulwini Group has four exclusive Game Lodges adjoining the Kruger National Park, in Balule Private Game Reserve. The Reserve is home to the "Big 7", as well as some 460+ species of birds.

The Lodges in Balule Private Nature Reserve are exclusive, luxury thatched camps offering an intimate and affordable experience, whilst still retaining the Spirit of Africa. Two of the lodges on the reserve are 4 Star graded, whilst the other two lodges function as self-catering venues.

Balule Private Game Reserve

PARADISE CAMP - Balule Private Game Reserve

The camp reflects the excitement of the gold rush era and is situated on top of a hill, with spectacular 360 degree views. Paradise can accommodate 12 people in 5 raised log cabins and an authentic ox-wagon converted into a bedroom, forming the centerpiece of this trails camp.

Activities:

Recreational activities are geared towards those who love just bieng in the bush and wish to absorb nature. Early morning or evening game drives with an experienced game ranger and guided bush walks through lion country can be arranged. Excursions such as hot-air balooning, helicopter flights, dat trips to the Kruger Park, animal rehab and animal sanctuaries are available.

Facilities:

Facilities include 5 twin bed, rustic-style raised log cabins. Each cabin has it’s own private veranda and comfy chairs where you are welcome to sit all day and drink in the atmosphere of the african bush.

Cook your own dinner over the coals, under a canopy of stars. The Management team will prepare designer barbeques for guests from time to time or another option is to dine at the four star Billy’s Lodge situated nearby

LEOPARD’S VIEW GUEST CAMP - Balule Private Game Reserve

This small camp is set against a hillside that looks down into a valley where wild animals come and go as they please. The camp has three twin bed en-suite African style chalets, each with it's own private terrace. The entire camp is equipped as a self catering venue.

Activities:

Recreational activities are geared towards those who love just bieng in the bush and wish to absorb nature. Early morning or evening game drives with an experienced game ranger and guided bush walks through lion country can be arranged. Excursions such as hot-air balooning, helicopter flights, dat trips to the Kruger Park, animal rehab and animal sanctuaries are available.

Facilities:

Facilities include 3 twin bed, en suite, rustic-style thatched chalets. Each has it’s own private terrace and comfy chairs where you are welcome to sit all day and drink in the atmosphere of the african bush.

Cook your own dinner over the coals, under a canopy of stars. The chalets are stocked with utensils and charcoal. The Management team will prepare designer barbeques for guests from time to time or another option is to dine at the four star Billy’s Lodge situated nearby

BILLY’S LODGE * * * * - Balule Private Game Reserve

On the banks of a seasonal river, deep in lion country . . . "Intimate, Charming and Exclusive" describes this secluded Bushveld hideaway with five twin en suite chalets and swimming pool.

Activities:

Recreationsl Activities include lazing around the pool or viewing game from the large deck overlooking a waterhole. Enjoy the thrill of an early morning or evening game drive with an experienced game ranger or get closer to nature than you ever imagined with a guided bush walk through lion country

Facilities:

Facilities include 5 luxury thatched, twin-bed, air-conditioned chalets accommodating 12 people. Each chalet is equipped with mini-bars, tea/coffee making facilities and cieling fans. Guests can relax in the charming lounge or bar area or enjoy sundowners on the deck

A full English breakfast, lunches and dinners are served by the pool, deck or  open air boma. Enjoy superb cuisine, prepared by our award winning chefs and select a bottle of fine South African wine to savour under the starlit sky.

RIVER LODGE * * * * - Balule Private Game Reserve

Built on the banks of one of South Africa's mightiest Rivers, the perennial Olifants … Here you experience the diversity of riverine animals, five twin thatched chalets, one family thatched chalet and swimming pool.

Activities:

Recreatonal activities include lazing around the beautiful pool area or relax on the sundeck set on the banks of the Olifants river.

Enjoy the thrill of an early morning or evening game drive with an experienced game ranger or get closer to nature than you ever imagined with a guided bush walk through lion country.
