Designed and built in 1997 to the highest standards
in Africa, the Lodge offers 8 comfortable, spacious, Kenyan “Meru”-style
safari tents set in a secluded bay. Each
is under cool thatch, and has en-suite tiled and fully-fitted bathrooms
with running hot and cold water. Ceiling fans, elegant mahogany beds
and furniture and a private verandah Hippo,
Crocodile and Antelope and 170 species of birds including the African
Fish Eagle.

Islands lie hidden away in the western reaches of Lake Kariba, Zambia,
remote and untouched. The jewel of this chain is Chete Island Safari
Lodge, a unique setting amid the flood plains,
shorelines , craggy cliffs, spectacular gorges and wood lands of the Chete
National Park and Bird Sanctuary. Nestling in this
beautiful archipelago, 17km offshore from the delightful
Zambian traditional village of Sinazongwe, it faces west, offering vistas
of the African sunset across the lake. |
